U.S. Model 1842 Springfield Percussion Musket Circa. 1849
We received a phone call from a client who asked if we could export an antique rifle from the UK to the USA and deliver it to the consignee's door.
We informed him that we must verify if the rifle has been decommissioned and does not require an export license prior to proceeding.
After the team at DTS carried out the necessary background checks, we were satisfied that it was okay to proceed with exporting. We started the process of collecting and arranging for a suitable export case to be made. We also arranged for all relevant paperwork to be raised for the export from the UK and the importation into the USA. Subsequently, we booked the first available flight to the US and arranged for our partners to handle the customs clearance and dealer home.
The consignee was thrilled to add a U.S. Model 1842 Springfield Percussion Musket (circa 1849) to his antique firearm collection.
